Headset Suggestions?

Postby Majik » Mon Apr 27, 2009 1:46 pm

My bird decided that it wanted to snack on my earpieces while watching me play TF2 one night.
Needless to say,I now need to look for new mic/headphone set.
Any suggestions?

Logitech has some nice comfy ones. DON'T buy HP. Not comfy. I also recommend sticking with analog. Sound quality isn't as good but no driver issues.

This is what I have Maj. They are the best headphones I have ever owned. I also went the extra mile and picked up their sound card to go with it. I've had them for close to two years. Never had any issues.

Whoa Pes! I know we were all thinking it, but it was brave of you to actually say it! Then again, I guess not that brave - this is BigD we are talking about here...

I'm actually using a Plantronics mic/headset. the sound is better than my last set, but the ear pieces make my ears sweat and after awhile they hurt.

I use a cheap Logitech USB microphone headset (you know, the type that comes bundled with PS2 Karaoke games!) and a regular set of over-ear headphones that I've owned for years. The headphones are comfy, but then I have to straddle the mic headset on top of the other pair to have the full setup. It's cumbersome to wear two headsets, but I have a big head, so it works out. :Egypt: And it's cheap. My mic sounds good to you folks, doesn't it? Since I haven't heard any complaints, I've just always assumed that my smooth, husky voice was finding its way into your ears without loss of quality.

You cant go wrong with the ear buds for sound, and the desk top mike with stand in front of the monitor for voice... :)

BigD's had no issues, except for that time where no one could hear him for several months when he was trying to talk.

You know what, I think that issue was steam related and specific to the occasional updates they do. I say that because it would only happen after an update & mysteriously the mic will work work a couple weeks later. Strong, I thought the same thing was happening to your mic at one time???

I have an analog mic and I've never had any issues, really BigD. I just found it funny that you said you've never had issues and I clearly remember not being able to hear you for long periods of time!
