I still lurk... :)

Can you post a screenshot? Are there any error details such as a error number? What kind of email account is he using? Hotmail, Gmail, something else?
Here's to you, as good as you are, And here's to me, as bad as I am, But as good as you are and as bad as I am, I'm as good as you are, bad as I am.

I can probably send you a screenshot thru my gmail account tomorrow after I get home from the drs.
But he is using outlook express going throu comcast as his isp.
Settings seem correct.
The only weird thing I see is he has two outlook expresses in his menu
There are no error numbers, it just has an error message that says could not finish the task send mail.
Then when you close outlook express it says there is items needing to be sent and asks if you want to send them now.
You say yes and get the same error message and outlook express then closes.

upon checking my email where I sent the test email too, I have 3 copies of the test mail in my inbox.
If you want me to send you a screenshot ot two, PM me your email.

If there's two instances of outlook showing I'd do the old unistall/reinstall or at least delete one instance of it.

I'd do like Pes says. Save what ever email he would like to keep a copy of, and remove completely to start fresh. My first suggestion for him would be to not use OE. ;o)
