I have been very pleased with Vista, but I really wish everyone would embrace the 64bit way of life.

That's a problem because most businesses including the one I work for don't have the want or need to embrace 64bit.

It really won't be a necessity for a while.

I never got Vista, but most people I talked to and the few calls I still get, most hate Vista.
I did think about it a few times, but it's way overpriced imo.

Hey, WM7 beta will be available tomorrow for download for a limited period of time. See these two links:

http://windowsteamblog.com/blogs/window ... -beta.aspx

On January 9th, the Windows 7 Beta will be available for Windows enthusiasts to download via the Windows 7 page on Windows.com. The Windows 7 Beta is going to be available download-only (we’re not sending out physical media) and available for a limited time to the first 2.5 million people who download the beta.

I used to have ME. It sucked a**. Ever since I got XP I have been nothing but pleased. Call me old fashioned but for what I do with it...XP suits me just fine...

Downloading 32 and 64 bit iso's now.

x86 version
hxxp://wb.dlservice.microsoft.com/downl ... EN_DVD.iso

x64 version
hxxp://wb.dlservice.microsoft.com/downl ... EN_DVD.ISO

replace the hxxp with http

copy and paste that in your browsers.

Not sure how to get the key yet.

Holy smack! I am running Windows 7 Beta on my older PC that coughed, choked and puked when I put Vista on it. To say the least, it is AWESOME! It is waaaay faster than Win XP 64 (My primary OS on this box). Needless to say, Windows 7 may be the first retail OS that I might actually fork money out for when it is released. This thing is fast, stable and sweet!!! I am usually not converted this fast, but dang...

Pixie, I will show you how to give it a go when you get back. I just ran TF2 on it, and it runs smooth as silk.

I was going to download it but I don't have a MSN account (or hotmail) so I wasn't able to.
But you sound pretty excited about it Mack.

64 - ran 32 in a virtual machine first, but that was slow and clunky, so I decided to do the real thing. happy I did. You got it up yet, Jed?
