The Zodiac killer

Postby spOOky » Wed Sep 17, 2008 3:16 am

Ok, among my varied and sundry topics of habitual late night research the Zodiac killer mystery has fascinated me for years. I admit that I don't have the mental capacity to crack his cipher codes. Believe me I have tried. But then I don't have any training in the field.

I was researching the case again tonight as I do every once in awhile and I came across this.

Oh BTW here is some background on the researcher before you dig in. http://www.americanchronicle.com/articles/33637

Here is the research paper cracking the ciphers.

Could this guy have actually cracked all of the Zodiac's ciphers and found the real Zodiac killer? A lot of the logic to the keys etc. had my head spinning but I couldn't stop reading till the end.

Just thought I'd throw this out for your entertainment and maybe someone here with a bigger brain than mine might be able to give a thumbs up or call bulls*** on this guy's deciphering techniques.

I have also been keeping a close eye on this rather new suspect as well. Jack Tarrance

http://thezodiackiller.digitalzones.com/

Seems that his step son is SURE that his step Dad Jack was the Zodiac and has just turned over a Zodiac hood and a blood stained knife he found hidden as well as one roll of developed film that shows a graphic murder scene as well as a couple undeveloped rolls. There are also handwriting comparisons that are very interesting.

Here is a link to a news piece on the Jack Tarrance case with video of the hood his stepson claims to have found.

I'm not sure what you were trying to link to, but the vid that comes up is like 23 seconds and basically just shows Jack Nicholson.

Yeah Maj, that was the correct video that you posted. Your internet skills are strong. Thanks man. I just introduced my wife to the case and she was fascinated. The most elusive and mysterious serial killer since Jack the Ripper for sure.

Hmm...

Jack the Ripper

He and the Zodiac have a similar MO in a way. Had big egos and sent letters to the cops and never got caught.

Maybe by some unknown universal law we get one of these guys once a century. The only other similar case I can think of is the Unabomber but they caught him thank God.

Some people think that Zodiac was the Unabomber. He was living in the area during the time of the Zodiac killings.
