Oh goody! Now they're going to break the only Valve/Steam game they haven't yet. Anyone remember the old expression 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'.

You have to love progress... :UmmmHmm:

As long as they don't change the game play, I think we'll be safe. They killed TF2 by changing all the weapon's shot amounts and too many tweaks.

Hey D, long time buddy.

I think that they are trying to compete with BFBC2 and the like and are going to end up shooting themselves in the foot. CSS still has one of the largest followings of ANY online, multiplayer FPS out there. I am going to try cautious optimism but I wager before we know it, CSS snipers are going to be running around with silly hats, eating sandviches...with only 5 rounds of ammo.

Ironically I recently shut down my CSS server in favor of a BC2 which actually gets some activity on a regular basis. Oh well, I'll go whereever the cool kids are hanging out. Having said that, I've tried Crysis Wars and BC2 and neither give the same realism and adrenaline rush as CSS because they have lost the simplicity of the FPS. (I do dig piloting helos though)...
